07 / FAQ

Before the first paper.

How is it different from ordinary notes and to-do apps?

PaperTodo folds to-dos and notes into capsules. Open them when you need them, tuck them against the screen edge when you don't, and hover to read or check off tasks.

Where is my content saved, and how do I move to another computer?

Your content is saved in the app folder. To move to another computer, close PaperTodo first, then copy the entire folder to bring your notes, images, settings and plugins with you.

Why might Windows SmartScreen show a warning?

Windows may show a warning for newly released apps. Download from the project's official GitHub and confirm the file's source before running it.

Can I change the colors and font?

Yes. Four built-in palettes—Warm, Ink, Forest and Rose—support light, dark and system themes. You can also adjust text size and use custom fonts. You can customize almost anything you have in mind.

What else can I put on a paper besides notes and to-dos?

Add images and links, quickly link frequently used files, or run PowerShell scripts. Plugins can turn a paper into a clock, a focus timer or another desktop tool.

Can Codex help me make my own tool?

Yes. After enabling Codex CLI Bridge, write your request in a to-do or paper and send it directly to Codex. The plugin includes development instructions to help Codex build tools that follow PaperTodo's conventions.

Install Codex CLI on your computer and sign in before using it.
